PE
Welcome to PE!
In Years 7, 8 and 9 all students have two hours of Physical Education each week. Students study a wide range of activities including; team games, dance, gymnastics, trampolining, climbing, outdoor adventurous activities, health related exercise/fitness (with access to the fitness suite), athletics, cricket, rounders and more!
We focus on mastery of physical skills, knowledge and application, competition and performance, sportsmanship and health and well-being. There is an emphasis on engaging with more than the traditional practical element of Physical Education, which is reflected in the Head, Heart, Hands assessment model that is used throughout students’ Key Stage 3 progress journey.
Inter-family activities run throughout the year, promoting team values and success allowing pupils to contribute to the whole-school Family points competition.
Students are taught and encouraged to lead a healthy, active lifestyle. Students have access to an extensive range of extracurricular opportunities available throughout the year.
Please take some time to look through the curriculum content we deliver at KS3.
