Virtual Open Evening

Is your child starting secondary school in September 2021?

This page is designed to help you get to know our academy. We know that COVID-19 makes it harder for you to get to see all the schools in the area, but we hope this virtual experience will help.

We encourage families thinking about applying, to spend time working through all the resources on this page. We are also offering guided tours on the evening of Tuesday 22 September - see the bottom of this page for details.

And if this page doesn't answer all your questions, please get in touch via the form below.

Guided tours

Tuesday 22 September 2020.

Appointments slots are being offered between 5pm and 7.30pm.

Book your places online at https://www.ticketsource.co.uk/cam

We are using an online ticket system called TicketSource to book appointments. The 'tickets' are free - the system lets us ensure that only 6 people are booked on to each tour.

COVID-19 means that we can’t offer our usual Open Evening where you can explore the school and meet our staff and students. We understand that you may be wary of visiting our school during the current infection levels. We also know how important it is to see our school yourself.

If you wish to book a tour, please read these notes carefully.

  1. Tours are strictly by appointment only, and you must arrive at your allotted time.

  2. Each tour has a maximum of six people. You will be asked to keep your distance from other groups, and from other households in the same group.

  3. Do not visit our school if you have any COVID-19 symptoms.

  4. Visitors are asked to wear face masks unless you have a medical reason not to. Our staff will also be wearing masks.

  5. You will be asked to sanitise your hands on arrival.

  6. The tour will follow a specific route and only go into certain rooms. Please avoid touching things and do not go into any rooms that your guide doesn’t take you into.

We hope you will see that these rules are in place for your safety, as well as the safety of our staff and our students.
