Which pupils qualify for free school meals?
Your child may be eligible for free school meals if you receive any of the following:
Income-based Jobseeker’s Allowance or Employment and Support Allowance
Support under part VI of the Immigration and Asylum Act 1999
The guaranteed element of State Pension Credit
Child Tax Credit (as long as you are not also entitled to Working Tax Credit and have an annual gross income of no more than £16,190)

What are the benefits of claiming free school meals?
School meals are a good way to ensure that your child eats well at lunchtime, and they can also save you time and money.
Claiming free school meals also helps the school. We get extra funding, known as the ‘pupil premium’, for every eligible pupil who is registered.

Learn about our payment processes
When buying their lunches, students use their fingerprints to manage their accounts. This means they don’t need to carry money around with them.
If your child is registered for free school meals their account will automatically topped up.
After your child starts with us in September, we will give you an activation code for Parent Pay. Please note, we can only set this up after your child actually starts with us, and so it's a good idea to send your child in with cash for the first few days. We will ensure your child can eat during these days - please don't worry.
Parents and carers are asked to use Parent Pay www.parentpay.com to top up their child’s lunch account. Parent Pay also lets you monitor what your child is spending their money on. As well as the website, there is an option to top up at local Pay Point shops.
Find out about meal times
A free breakfast is available to all from 7:30am – 8:15am, including fruit juice, toast and crumpets.
